Cork Graffiti artists are battling it out every Saturday at the Marina Market

Here’s another reason to pop down at the weekend.
The first Graffiti Battle of 2023 has taken place at the Marina Market, with a selection of other local artists ready to step up to the blank wall at the venue every Saturday.
The ultimate winner will get the (paid) opportunity to paint the main front entrance of the busy market.
This weekend saw artists Barry O’Brien and HoboGlamour kick things off, creating two colourful large-scale pieces in the allocated time of just 30 minutes as fascinated market visitors looked on.
Here’s how it all went down:

There’s still time to get involved too:
“Each artist will be given a prize, the winner will get more and also advance to the next stage. Finally, when there are only two contestants left, we will hold the ultimate battle between them for a cash prize and the paid opportunity to paint our main entrance to be featured here permanently. New battles each Saturday for the coming weeks.” said a Marina Market spokesperson.
