Got an old communion dress gathering dust? Here’s where you can sell it on

Communion dresses are adorable.
But once the day is over and the excitement has died down, they usually end up in the back of the wardrobe acting as a rather expensive dust collector for years to come.
Since communion dresses and suits are only ever worn once, it seems like a shame to let them go to waste.
Luckily, KindFolk has found a way to breathe new life into communion wear by buying, repairing, and reselling pre-loved dresses to give parents the option of shopping in an eco-conscious way.
Right now, the sustainable brand is looking to collect previously-owned communion dresses for their Preloved Communion Wear Pop-ups. KindFolk even employs their very own seamstress to restore and repair any blemishes in the dresses so they can look as good as new.

Here’s how it works: Email or DM Kindfolk on Instagram with a photo of the dress; size, brand, and original price, and information on any dry cleaning or mending needed. If your dress is a style they are looking for, you will agree on a re-sale price and you will receive 60 percent of the re-sale price when the dress or suit sells. All pieces will be carefully quality checked and re-sell for between €60 to €215.
If you’re a parent looking to purchase one of these dresses or suits, KindFolk will be hosting a pop-up in Children’s Wear Department in Brown Thomas Cork on Saturday, February 11th, 2023.
