Cork Dogfest is on the way (with a pool party, puppuccinos and pawtographers)

Make it a doggie date.
The Marina Market is hosting its very own tribute to Cork’s canine companions next month, with the famously dog-friendly spot rolling out the red carpet for furry visitors.
Dogfest will take over the market on Sunday, July 2nd with a jam-packed schedule of wild and raucous fun for dogs of all sizes and their owners.
There’ll be a range of races, games, and training sessions in the Main Arena throughout the day and once your doggo is warmed up, they can cool off with a splash about in the Pool Zone (probably wise to bring a towel). If your dog is a strong swimmer and loves fetching tennis balls, they can have a go at Dock Diving, a popular new dog sport that’s gaining a following across the country.

On the Main Stage, there will be fashion shows showcasing the latest in leads, harnesses, and styles for your dog and that’s all before Dogs Got Talent at 12pm (you can enter your pet as a contestant by posting a video on Instagram and tagging Marina Market and Top Barkz Cork).
You’ll be needing a memento of the day so the professional pawtographers will be waiting to take your picture over at DoggyWood.
There’s even a special spot for new puppy parents to chill out; Puppy Paradise is a place for pups under six months old to socialise with other pups off-lead.
Tickets for the day are €12.50 here (and no, you don’t need to have a dog to go along).
