Support your neighbourhood barista at the Irish Zero Waste Latte Art Competition

These milky masterpieces go largely uncelebrated.
But Leeside baristas will finally have a chance to get their creativity noticed at the first Irish Zero Waste Latte Art Competition, which rolls into Cork on Saturday, May 27th, 2023.
In a celebration of both craftsmanship and environmental consciousness, the event provides a platform for talented baristas to demonstrate their skills while adhering to sustainable principles and it’s all happening at Filter on George’s Quay.

Sponsored by Oatly, it’s a popular one too; competitor tickets are almost sold out but you don’t need a ticket needed to watch and pizza, beers and coffee cocktails will be served to observers on the day.
So what exactly is a zero-waste latte art throwdown you ask?
“Well, it’s basically a place where a bunch of oat-loving humans come together to show off their mind-blowing latte art skills and where we use every single coffee poured to serve up some banging cocktails,” they explain.
The winner of the Irish Zero Waste Latte Art Competition will get a free trip to Dublin and compete for a whole other trip to Athens for World of Coffee.
