Cork artist shares his most incredibly detailed, lifelike portrait of the city yet

How good is this?
Here at YayCork we’ve raved about the work of Keith Anderson before, but the Cork artist’s latest work might be his most breathtaking yet.
Anderson specialises in cityscapes, and his latest oil on canvas work is an incredible rendering of Cork city, with exquisite detail carrying off into the far background of the painting.
Sharing the piece on Twitter yesterday morning, Anderson wrote: “It’s a beautiful morning here in Cork, so for the day that’s in it I’m sharing my most detailed painting of Cork city and possibly the most detailed ever done. I would love for this painting to go far and wide so any and all retweets are much appreciated.”
At first glance, the painting is virtually indistinguishable from a photograph and detailed enough that you could almost see yourself walking around in it.

One eagle-eyed Twitter user pointed out that the moment captured is from 2018, as identified by the JJ Rhatigan Crane at the site of The Maldron South Mall.
While prints are not available yet, Anderson has announced his intention to put 100 limited edition high quality prints on sale in “the next couple of weeks.” He has said that the painting itself is not for sale.
The painting has received rave reviews so far with hundreds of people retweeting the image since it went live. To browse more of Keith’s work, visit here.
