Cork Airport just announced a brand new flight to Lisbon

Exciting news, travel fans.
Aer Lingus is to commence a new year-round Cork to Lisbon route, providing direct access from the Rebel county to Europe’s coolest city.
The new service from Cork Airport to Lisbon Portela Airport, Portugal’s main international gateway, will commence on October 26th, 2018, operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.
The Portugese capital is positively brimming with culture, stunning scenery and fabulous food, so a direct flight from Cork is just the incentive we need to plan a little autumn break.
“This new route will be very popular for leisure and business in both directions.”said Aer Lingus, Cork Airport Managing Director, Niall MacCarthy.
“This announcement is an excellent development for Cork Airport and the 2.4 million passengers we serve across the south of Ireland.”
We quite agree. Now, where did we put that weekend bag…
