A new food and wine hall just opened in Limerick and it is SWANKY

A weekend jaunt to Limerick is on the cards.

The first Alex Findlater & Co. Food & Wine Hall has opened on O’Connell Street… and it looks like a foodie’s dream.

The new venture is a collaboration between Limerick hospitality firm the Savoy Group and Findlater & Co., a general grocers and wine merchants brand dating back to 1823.

Set in an impressive 18,000 sq. ft premises on the city’s main street, inside you’ll find the lavish Oyster & Seafood Bar, an upmarket food area and an elegant Bollinger Jazz & Supper Club – ideal for parties and special events.

And you can skip the visit to the off licence on the way home with your foodie finds; more than 300 wines from across the globe are showcased at the handsome purpose-built wine theatre.

What’s more, it’s a caffeine addict’s dream meeting spot; there’s a flagship Warbler & Wren Coffee House as well as in-house coffee from Lavazza and Robert Roberts.

Plans are afoot to roll out the concept to other Irish cities (potential sites are being scouted around the country so fingers crossed for a Cork outlet) but if it’s first hand experience of the premium Alex Findlater & Co. Wine & Food Hall you’re after, book a weekend in the Treaty city.
