Catch one of the most nostalgic Irish movies ever with a pint over Paddy’s weekend

Nineties kids will love this one.
If you’re in the mood for a little nostalgia over the St Patrick’s Day weekend (who isn’t?), make a beeline for The Pav on Saturday, March 18th.
At 2pm, the lights will be dimmed in The Pav’s cosy cinema bar for the classic flick War of the Buttons.
The 1994 comedy-drama adventure film, set in 1960’s Cork, was filmed on location down west, and directed by John Roberts.
Based on the French novel La Guerre des Boutons, by Louis Pergaud, the story follows two rival boys’ gangs and a battle to cut off the buttons (and various other items of clothing) of their captured opponents.
The ultimate Paddy’s weekend movie, it’s packed with priceless quotes, including “Geronimo, do you know what you are? You’re a tosspot” and “His willy! Cut off his willy!”
