This is where you can have love poems read to you on Valentine’s Day

Warning: this one’s for incurable romantics only.
If carefully chosen words of adoration make your heart flutter, there’s a unique opportunity to indulge your passion for romance this week.
To celebrate the feast day of St Valentine, Waterstones has invited the poets of The Cork International Poetry Festival to the book shop for a St Valentine’s Day reading of love poetry.
The poets will be kicking off the festival by celebrating affairs of the heart, reading a selection of work at Cork Poets Do Love.
The reading is free of charge, begins at 11am and will last for roughly an hour (Waterstones has entrances on Patrick Street and Paul Street).
Given the day that’s in it, it’s likely to be heady stuff indeed – make sure to stand near the wall lest you go weak at the knees.
