Bring a blanket and watch Dirty Dancing on the lawn at Fota House and Gardens

Nobody puts baby in the corner.
But you’re guaranteed all the space you need for responsible social distancing at Fota House and Gardens, where they’ll be screening the original Dirty Dancing outdoors on the lawn next month.
On Sunday, August 16th you can settle down on a cosy blanket or bean bag to watch the movie in one of the most unique settings ever; on the Bell Field directly in front of the stunning Fota House.
It’s the ideal date night idea.
“Whether it’s with a partner or your pals, you are welcome to come and find a perch in front of our giant outdoor LED screen!” says The Pop-Up Movie Club, who are organising the evening.
“Bring your blankets, your bean bags or your deckchairs and enjoy. Premium seating (air sofas) are also available. Popcorn and treats will be served too.”
The gates open at 6.30pm and the movie begins at 7.15pm sharp. Tickets start at €16 here.
The event is family-friendly but there’s a selection of children’s movies showing too so visit the website to check dates and times for The Lion King, The Secret Life of Pets, Grease and Toy Story.
