Beats, Rhymes and Wine – if you like these things, you’ll love this…

Listen up, vinyl junkies.
A new monthly event invites music fans to enjoy an iconic album over a relaxed glass of wine in a Washington Street café.
Every month, Pink Moon’s Beats, Rhymes and Wine enlists a poet to choose an album that has influenced their life and work. The album is played in full on vinyl, followed by a spoken word performance by the poet.
The next instalment on Sunday, June 9th, 2019 will see Jac Shortland leading proceedings.
An O’Bheal open mic night regular, Jac has chosen Aretha Franklin’s The Atlantic Singles Collection 1967-1970 as the album for the evening.
“I Say a Little Prayer for You is part of my childhood. I remember hearing it for the first time, when my sister brought it home to play on repeat.” says Shortland.
