Badass Cork athlete Sinead Kane is leading a casual 5k through the city this weekend

All paces are welcome on the day.
That’s the message for potential runners, joggers, and walkers considering taking part in a casual 5k through Cork City Centre this weekend, as intrepid local athlete Sinead Kane leads the way.
Kane is a two-time World Record Holder and the first visually impaired runner to complete seven marathons in seven days across seven continents.
The ultramarathon runner, holder of two doctorate degrees, and the first visually impaired solicitor in Ireland, recently completed a 100k challenge across the Sahara Desert.

Happily, you don’t need to have anywhere near Kane’s skill, perseverance or willpower to join in Sunday’s event – as store ambassador for Lululemon in Brown Thomas Cork, Sinead will be encouraging participants of all abilities, starting outside the store at 9am and meeting back at the store afterwards.
“The event is an opportunity for anyone with an interest in running to meet and connect, and is an informal and inclusive space.” a spokesperson told us.
The run takes place at 9am on Sunday, March 26th and you can register for free here.
