At Cork’s newest restaurant, EVERY dish celebrates the humble egg

Everything tastes better with a fried egg on top.
And now a new Cork eatery is going one step further, unveiling an entire menu of egg-based dishes to enjoy for breakfast, brunch and lunch.
The Egg Bar is open for business at the Black Market, with a mouthwatering list of eggy specials including Scampi or Buttermilk Chicken Eggs Benedict with lemon hollandaise, a Bacon and Egg Burger, Avocado Eggs on toast and an Egg Brioche Bap.

If you’re on a low-carb diet you can tuck into a tasty omelette with veggies, cheese and spinach.
Even the vegans are catered for; the Spanish EGGplant is actually just slow-cooked aubergine with bell pepper, onion, avocado, tomato and basil ragu, and crusty bread.
For egg fanatics and anyone loading up on protein, you can add an extra egg or two to any dish.
The Black Market is open daily on Monahan Road. It’s dog friendly so you can swing by after your walk and there’s free parking for customers too.
