Absolute scenes at The Harp Bar as hundreds of students queue for Christmas party from 7am

They’re determined, we’ll give them that.
Local residents on the Pouladuff Road and in the Togher area looked on bemused as dawn broke this morning, as swathes of students wearing festive Christmas jumpers appeared out of all directions.
The crowds of jolly young folk were en route to The Harp Bar, where a College Christmas Bar Takeover is set to kick off at 10.30am.
By 8am, hundreds of students had joined the line in the pub car park and while there were plenty of drinks bottles discarded on the road outside, The Harp staff were furiously cleaning up the mess as it appeared, ensuring the street was clear for pedestrians.
“Everybody try to stick to our queuing system and PLEASE respect the neighbours.” the bar implored their fans on Facebook.
Luckily, apart from a bit of singing, the huge crowd didn’t cause too much commotion and good-natured locals weren’t bothered.
With €5 tickets available on the door, the party is set to continue all day, with house music and techno on the go until 5.30pm.
