A Yoga and Art Therapy afternoon might help you get to know your inner kid

Stretching your body feels amazing.
But releasing some of that creative energy that we all keep hidden inside us is an entirely different experience.
The good people over at Alchemy School of Yoga have put together a special kind of event that combines yoga and art therapy for an afternoon of body and inner-child connection.
“We will begin with an accessible and grounding Yoga practice led by Senior Yoga Teacher Jeanie Jyanti. This will encourage us to tune into our internal world, our bodies, and our minds,” said the organisers on Instagram. The session will then be followed by an exploration of art therapy and inner-child work.
“From this place Lisa Griffin, M.A. Art Therapist will guide us in a 1.5-hour group art therapy session providing an opportunity to reflect upon the value of healthy connections with others.”
The purpose of the workshop is to work on different dynamics such as “self-acceptance, letting go of judgment, and building crucial boundaries”.
But don’t worry if you’re not an expert portraitist – there are absolutely no artistic skills required for this workshop. All you need is a mug for your tea and an open mind.
