A new farm shop is opening in East Cork (and it’ll stock the best bits for a fancy picnic)

It’s the most wholesome way to pack a picnic.
This summer there’s a new farm shop to look out for on your holiday jaunts to East Cork and the owners have put out a call to local food producers to get in touch with a view to being stocked on their shelves.
Olivia and Joe Morrissey will open the doors of Rostellan Farm Shop in a refurbished 200-year-old building on their family farm in a few weeks’ time.
The couple are looking for local artisan producers, makers, growers, and bakers to supply the shop, which they hope will be a celebration of delicious local fare for locals and tourists alike to enjoy.
“We champion the small, the handmade, and traditional,” said Olivia, posting on Instagram.

“We want products that are made with integrity using simple, natural nonartificial ingredients. We wish to work with producers that share our commitment to doing business in a way that makes a positive impact on people our community and our planet.
“We want to delight our customers by selecting a range of food, drink and crafts that they are unlikely to find anywhere else.”
Sounds like a dreamy spot to stop and collect the fixings for a fabulous picnic.
