A huge tent just appeared in Glanmire (and there’s a pop-up food market inside)

Here’s a new one to check out this weekend.

The Castle in Glanmire has unveiled a brand new lunch and dinner destination, with a range of Cork’s best street food and snack vendors under one roof.

The Yard, which launches today, Saturday, July 25th is open from 12pm until 4pm.

Inside you’ll find a pop-up market featuring The Thirsty Foal Coffee and Pastries, Volcano Woodfired Pizza, The Nut Case Food Company (suitable for vegans) and O’Reilly’s Fish and Chips.

Yum.

You can order from your favourite vendor and grab a seat in the festival-style marquee to eat. It’s a clever way to keep the whole gang happy while enjoying lunch one fun socially distanced spot.

There are also plans to continue the fun into the evening in the coming weeks, with a festival-style cocktail bar, entertainment and food at night.

If you’ve located a designated driver and you’re in the market for pizza and pints, check out the beer garden, where you can grab a picnic table for plenty of both.

All we need now is for the weather to cooperate.
