A handy list of spots where you can donate food and treats for abandoned dogs

It’s a busy season in Cork dog shelters.
As temperatures drop, the city’s hard working volunteers are stockpiling essentials to get them through another long winter of rescuing abandoned and abused animals.
As usual, Cork Dog Action Welfare is relying on the kindness of friends and strangers to help them gather enough food to keep all bellies full over Christmas.
Now St Vincent de Paws is organising an Emergency Dog Food Collection in a number of locations on Sunday, November 10th, 2019 and they’re asking for specific items: dog food (mostly wet, any brand), tuna and sardines, dog treats, fleece blankets and dog toys.
If you can contribute any of these items to the collection (monetary donations will not be accepted), volunteers from St Vincent de Paws will be setting up at the following locations on November 10th
- LIDL Ballincollig 2pm-4pm
- LIDL Ballyvolane 2pm-4pm
- LIDL Carrigaline 2pm-4pm
- ALDI Passage 2pm-4pm
- SUPERVALU Togher 1pm-3pm
- ALDI Mallow 1pm-3pm
Drop-off bins will also be available at the following locations:
- The Spaw in Douglas
- PETS plus North Point Blackpool in Blackpool
- PETS plus in Cobh
- Currabinny Boarding Kennels in Currabinny
- Morgans Daybreak in Togher
- Glanmire Pet Shop in Glanmire
