A dream team of Cork chefs are teaming up for an unbelievable seven-course feast

This is one for serious foodies.
If you’re in the mood to expand your culinary palette and broaden your cultural horizons at the same time, The River Lee Hotel is serving up something unique this month.
Infusing the best of Irish, Icelandic, and Japanese cultures, Corkonians will be taken on a journey of the sense by chefs Takashi Miyazaki, Rob Krawczyk, and Georg Arnar Halldórsson as they present a tantalising seven-course menu in the hotel’s iconic Mirror Room.
The Last Supper, will close out Sounds from a Safe Harbour festival on Sunday, September 10th.
Who’s cooking?
Master of his craft Rob Krawczyk, who grew up in the coastal town of Schull, is an award-winning Irish chef and one-star Michelin restaurant owner who specialises in creating delicious dishes with subtle flavours and textures and is said to have a keen eye for a beautiful presentation.
Georg Arnar Halldórsson is a renowned Icelandic chef, previously of ÓX in Reykjavik, Iceland which received a prestigious Michelin Star in 2022.
And Takashi Miyazaki whose career began in a five-star hotel in Fukuoka, then travelled across Japan to experiment with his craft before eventually settling in Cork, is well known to Leesiders due to the widely popular Miyazaki on Barrack Street and his Michelin Star restaurant Ichigo Ichie on Sheare’s Street.
Between these three maestros, it’s shaping up to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
