A Death Doula is hosting an ‘honest and uplifting’ evening chat at a Cork coffee shop

Most of us avoid thinking about it at all.
But if there’s one stark fact about life, it that’s nobody gets out of this thing alive.
Now there’s a place where you can spend a little time considering the notion in the company of some friendly faces… and then maybe put it to one side and carry on with the business of living.
A Death Talk Cafe will be held at Myo on Pope’s Quay this Wednesday, May 17th.
Facilitated by ‘death doula’ Stefanie Blech, the evening begins at 6.30pm and it’s open to anyone who feels like attending (tickets €10).
“Death is an inevitable part of our journey, but talking about it often feels like a taboo.” say the organisers.

“This Cafe is about learning how to approach the subject of death in a constructive, safe, and meaningful way. We’ll explore and answer questions about all aspects of end-of-life so that we can come together to have a broad, honest, and uplifting conversation about death.”
