A Crosshaven coffee spot is hosting an outdoor yoga class for an excellent cause

Your next yoga class could help save a life.
Crosshaven coffee trailer DEFIB is hosting an afternoon yoga event later this month and all proceeds from the €11.70 ticket will go towards the cost of a new defibrillator for the community.
Defibrillators are devices that send an electric pulse or shock to the heart to restore a normal heartbeat. If the heart suddenly stops, defibrillators can also help it beat again.
DEFIB owner Michelle McCooey understands their importance in a community more than most, having tragically lost a family member to SADs in 2012.
“At that time there were no defibrillators close by and who knows if the outcome may have been different had there been one sooner.” the entrepreneur explains.
Now Michelle has joined forces with life coach Georgina Durcan and yoga teacher Sarah Hutch to run a special fundraiser, supported by Gym + Coffee.

On June 25th at 2pm, Sarah will guide participants through a heart-opening yoga flow (suitable for all levels), followed by a meditation and some calming breathwork with Georgina.
Afterwards everyone will catch up over coffee at DEFIB at the Crosshaven Walkway.
Tickets are available now here.
