A fancy new seafood takeaway just opened on MacCurtain Street

What a catch.
An upmarket seafood takeaway has landed on MacCurtain Street, combining traditional fish and chips with contemporary fish dishes.
Fish is the brainchild of some of the key names behind Cork’s legendary Ecos, chefs Jerome Williamson and Chris Prinsloo, and Eco’s owner David Halpin Jnr.
Located at 45 McCurtain Street, Fish is in the former spot of The Fish Wife, casting its net wide to lure in hungry patrons seven days a week from noon onwards.
Jerome’s culinary journey began in the Eco Marina Market, where he started as a kitchen porter. His passion and talent quickly propelled him up the ranks to become a chef and he went on to work at prestigious Michelin-starred restaurants in Dublin and the UK.
Returning to Cork, Jerome is teaming up with Eco’s David Halpin and South African-born chef Chris Prinsloo. Chris’ CV includes chef at Eco’s in Douglas and he was also behind innovative ventures like Gazebo at St. Luke’s old toll boot.

The menu reflects the trio’s culinary influences, featuring traditional, contemporary, and street food styles. With a commitment to quality and innovation, the aim is to elevate the seafood takeaway experience.
We’re hooked.
