Award-winning whiskey bar, The Shelbourne, which stocks over 500 Irish whiskeys (yes, 500), has decided to share the liquid gold and guide Corkonians and visitors through the fascinating world of the auld uisce beatha.

Expect tales of whiskey’s history, its thriving resurgence, and the secrets that make each sip a delightful experience.

Participants savour a flight of three distinct whiskey samples, each one talked through by The Shelbourne’s own whiskey experts and paired with a local beer of their choice. Not too shabby for €35.

The bar is already known for its popular three-whiskey flights, offering nine flight options to cater to all whiskey aficionados.

Choices range from affordable to high-end and for those who fancy the crème de la crème, there’s a limited-edition selection that goes up to €500.
