A New Zealand wise woman is hosting a mystical Earth Altar evening on a Cork beach

Craving some time outdoors in nature?
A New Zealand-based wise woman, ceremonialist, and herbalist is visiting Cork this month to host an intriguing open event on Red Strand Beach.
All the way from Aotearoa, Meg Reishi is hosting an Earth Altar Ceremony on the sand on Thursday, May 11th, 2023 from 7.30pm until 10pm.
“An Earth Altar is a temporary art piece, generally in the shape of a mandala, created from materials found in nature that can be built on a surface of the Earth, in a sacred site, building, home or perhaps even your home or bedroom.” said local organiser Naoise Galvin of Golden Space.

“You can use your Earth Altar as a portal into the Earth to send your wishes, worries, prayers, and gratitude, a place to connect with the natural world and energies around you, an anchor point for gatherings, ceremonies, and events, a way to access your intuition, tap into your creativity, experience a state of meditation, a chance to come into the present moment, quieten a busy mind, calm your nervous system, discover the stillness inside of you and oscillate your heartbeat to the rhythm of the planet.”
This mystical evening will be an honouring of the native plants, the elements, the land, and the Goddess Ériu (The Goddess of Éire). Participants will enjoy a Native Tea Ceremony, Earth Altar Creation, Sound Journey, and connection before a sea swim and a sauna in the Balmy Barrel.
Tickets for the experience are €55 and available here.
