Cork’s O’Flynn’s Sausages are TEE-riffic (just ask Bill Murray and Tiger Woods)

By Yay Cork July 8, 2022July 8, 2022

“I deserve an O’Flynn’s Gourmet Sausage.”

Those are the words of Hollywood actor Bill Murray, one of a flurry of international stars to have sampled the iconic Cork staple during the JP McManus Pro-Am ’22 in Limerick.

The Rebel sausage slingers were the toast of the event’s snack situation, serving up their mouthwatering sandwiches to the golfing glitterati throughout the world-famous fundraiser at Adare Manor.

The O’Flynn’s gang fed Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Martin O’Neill to name but a few, giving the celebs a proper taste of the Gourmet Capital.

While the gang arrived fully stocked with all the sides and toppings we expect from their stalls in the English Market and on Winthrop Street, it appears Mr Woods enjoyed his sausage the low-carb way, sans bun.

His loss, we say.

Sharing a photo of the proud moment on Instagram, the company described the opportunity to cater to professional golfers and celebrities as an “amazing experience for the whole team”.

“It was simply out of this world, and a very special week for our family business.” they posted on social media.

“It was a great experience to meet the likes of Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Kenny Dalglish, and Martin O’Neill, to name but a few, and especially Bill Murray who gave us a huge shout-out on the fifth hole, where after an incredible shot he shouted, “I deserve an O’Flynn’s Gourmet Sausage”.

“I’m so proud of all of our team, each who carried themselves so professionally over the two-day event. What a team we have here at O’Flynn’s.”
