Eat a burrito while you browse at the Sustainable Fashion Fair this weekend

Is your look in need of an overhaul?
If you’re seeking a sign it’s time to add to your sustainable seasonal wardrobe, then the Black Market is the spot for you this weekend.
The Monahan Road venue is hosting another Sustainable Fashion Fair, with everything from live music to vintage stalls kicking off from 12 pm on Saturday afternoon so you can bargain hunt with a SOMA coffee in one hand and a Brendan’s Burrito in the other.
You can also swap ’til you drop and bring items from your own wardrobe to trade for a pre-loved, de-pop or vintage wonder at the Clothes Swap, which takes up residence at the venue on the first Saturday of every month from 12pm-3pm.

On top of the tunes and caffeine-fuelled shopping, you can turn your finds into forever staples at the Upcycling Demonstration where participants will learn how to reimagine garments that have been sitting at the back of the wardrobe.
Cork Clothes Swap has asked that all clothes be washed prior to the event as damaged clothes will not be accepted on the day. Underwear or swimwear are also not accepted either, FYI.
However, if you are looking for advice on how to save a long-lost top or torn t-shirt, bring it along and ask at the Repair Cafe.
The Sustainable Fashion Fair runs from 12pm- 3pm on Saturday, July 9th at The Black Market on Monahan Road, Ballintemple.
