It’s lashing again, but Met Éireann says the weather will warm up before Easter

A bit of sunshine would be brilliant.
But with showers and drizzle set to continue for the week, we’ll have to settle for milder temperatures to take us into the Easter weekend.
It’s a cloudy start in Cork today, Tuesday, with widespread showers forecast for later. Some of these will be heavy with hail and a possibility of isolated thunderstorms and temperatures will remain between 12 and 15 degrees.
Fast forward to Wednesday however and things will begin to feel more spring-like once again. During the early afternoon, any showers will begin to die out and there will be some sunny spells with highest temperatures of up to 17 degrees.
While there will be plenty of showers or longer spells of rain about this week there will be a few sunny spells in there too & the good news is the warmer temperatures will be making a return! 🌡️ 📈 https://t.co/W0mu5qnMOe pic.twitter.com/KMMb5tM87Y

Most areas will stay dry through Wednesday night, although it will become cloudier by morning, and outbreaks of rain and drizzle will continue into Thursday, with highest temperatures of 16C.
Things look set to improve by the time the bank holiday fun begins.
“It looks like Friday will be mild with scattered showers and the best of any sunny spells in the afternoon and early evening.” said a forecaster.
Expect highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees, coolest near the south coast, and a mild but showery Easter weekend.
