Right, who’s up for a spin to Kanturk?
One of Cork’s most creative confectioners has dreamed up a smorgasbord of jaw-droppingly delicious treats for the Easter weekend.
Petra Kriva, the owner and head chef at Yumm Café in the town, is tempting customers through her door on Percival Street with a host of chocolatey delights that would make Willy Wonka blush.
For the holiday that’s in it, Petra has whipped up a selection of Cheesecake Chocolate Eggs (half a chocolate egg loaded with delicious cheesecake filling and topped with all manner of crunchy goodies) and her signature Caramel Biscuit Eggs for enjoying with a nice cuppa or surprising your Easter Sunday dinner hosts.
There are mini-egg cookies, slabs of blond Biscoff rocky road, homemade macarons and even a Creme Egg Hot Chocolate to wash it all down.
Traditionalists needn’t worry either, in amongst all the outrageous cakes and bakes you’ll find more than one heaving tray of good old hot cross buns too.
Yumm Café is open Wednesday-Saturday, 9am-4pm.
