Normal Aer Lingus service from Cork to Heathrow to resume from July 19th

More good news for Cork’s jet-setters.
Cork Airport has announced that Aer Lingus flights to London Heathrow will resume as normal once non-essential travel is re-introduced on July 19th.
The airline is currently operating one flight per day along this route for essential travel, with tickets costing upwards of €220. Once July 19th hits, however, there will be four Aer Lingus flights a day leaving Cork bound for Heathrow.
In a post on Twitter this morning, the airport wrote: “Aer Lingus continues to be ever present at Cork Airport flying to Heathrow Airport for essential travel & vital international connectivity.
“We look forward to welcoming back passengers travelling for non-essential international travel from July 19. We missed you while you were away.”
The announcement follows yesterday’s news that the airport is preparing to reopen its routes to Alicante, Luton, Stansted and Wroclaw over the next month, before bringing back its routes to Malaga, Faro and Malta in July.
Flights to Paris will resume on July 14th, and flights to Zurich will resume from July 18th.
