Met Éireann forecast says warm weather will continue this week, but the rain is back

You win some, you lose some.
Met Éireann’s regional forecast for Munster this week suggests that the weekend’s warm temperatures will continue, but that there is a fair few bucketfuls of rain on the way.
It reads: “Today (Monday 31 May) will be very mild and mainly dry with long spells of sunshine for most. Turning cloudier in west Munster at times however, with drizzle possible near the coast, especially in the late afternoon and evening.
“Highest temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees generally, a little cooler along the south and southwest coast in a moderate southerly breeze.”
The weather isn’t expected to be perfect all week long, with rain and drizzle expected on both Monday night and Tuesday morning. Wednesday and Thursday will also be “cloudy with showers of rain,” even as the temperature remains decent with highs of between 14 and 22.
Even looking ahead as far as Friday and next weekend, we can expect a mix of weather. “Friday looks set to start mostly dry with sunny spells, but scattered showers are likely during the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees.
“The outlook for next weekend is for a mix of sunny spells and showers with daytime temperatures generally reaching the mid to high teens.”
