An ‘LA style’ smashed burger van is opening in Clonakilty this weekend
Ever had a smashed burger?
Well if you live within 5km of Clonakilty, you can sink your teeth into one this weekend; 8020 Burger is opening in the town this Friday, March 26th, serving a menu of “no nonsense L.A. style smashed burgers, not-so-skinny fries and thick, creamy ‘shakes.”
“Those of you who have never tried a smashed burger are in for a treat.” 8020’s Orla O’Donovan told Yay Cork.
“We take our unique 80/20 blend of fresh, local beef from the Allshires in Rosscarbery. We do exactly what it says on the tin and smash it directly down on to our hot plate resulting in two delicious, juicy patties with frayed crispy edges. Next, we layer fresh lettuce, onion, tomatoes, pickles and our secret 8020 sauce into a warm bun.”

8020 Burger is will open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 4pm to 8pm throughout summer 2021, kicking off this Friday beside Scally’s SuperValu, at the bottom of the Fig & Olive rear car park. You can rock up to the counter or order online here.
