3 Cork foodie feeds you need to follow on Instagram

Food ‘gramming is a serious affair. One that we do not take lightly here at Yay Cork.
We pride ourselves on stalking the most current, in-season Instagram foodsperts of the moment, so we can keep things fresh and local on the dinner table.
Here are just a few of the Corkonians killing it on the cuisine scene, while keeping it real enough that we can scoop up and devour their tips, tricks and recommendations.
WARNING: Have snacks handy; you will be ravenous after reading this post.
1. Rachel Hornibrook @Littlemuffinblog
Dublin-based Cork lass Rachel Hornibrook is a foodie fanatic you’ll want to be Instagram friands with (pardon the pun). Her page is a visual feast of nutritious and delicious dishes.
Rachel typically serves up a mixture of healthy home-cooked meals, reviews of restaurants and shots of food from her latest finds. Luckily for us, she writes a detailed blog with recipes on how to recreate her plates.

2. James Kavanagh and William Murray @Currabinny
The dashing duo behind this food ‘gram is Dublin’s James Kavanagh and our very own, William Murray. A must-follow for a good feed and a good laugh, after years of setting up stalls at markets, competing in cook-offs and generally building their brand on social media, James and William launched The Currabinny Cookbook in late 2018.
Although based in Dublin, the pair find their foodie inspiration in Cork. Named after the sleepy, charming town where William was raised, the focus at Currabinny is on traditional, seasonal ingredients with a contemporary twist… and all plated on stunningly beautiful crockery.
Ballymaloe trained chef, William explains “We wanted a cookbook where the recipes wouldn’t scare your granny, but they would also impress a young person.” The couple have plans to open a cafè sometime in the near future, here’s hoping it will be located in the real capital.

3. @Elainekingston
It can still prove difficult and daunting to find delicious vegan-friendly food out and about. Elaine Kingston, however, makes this hunt a little easier for the vegans of Cork. Her Instagram feed is full of fresh and vibrant plant-based food found in and around Cork City. With a BSc in Nutritional Science, Elaine also prescribes a healthy dose of vegan cooking on her blog.
If you are vegan, or considering the lifestyle, Elaine is the woman to help you on your way, whether that’s around Cork or abroad – she also documents her travels across Europe.
