This rotisserie claims to have the biggest all-day veggie menu in Cork

Booking a group meal with options for everyone in your party can be tricky these days.
Non meat-eaters are often poorly catered for, but one city restaurant has come up with an all-day veggie-friendly menu that they claim offers the best choice in Cork.
The Spitjack, 34 Washington Street, is pushing the boat out to lure in Cork’s discerning vegetarian diners, with a tasty selection of dishes from breakfast to brunch.
The busy eatery serves up porridge and smoothie bowls for breakfast, with The Full Veggie or Rotisserie Sweet Potato Toast topped with vegan feta, fresh salsa, smashed avocado and dukkha if you’re after something heftier.

Their Veggie Roll is out of this world too, whether you’re a veggie or not; it’s a ciabatta stuffed with grilled halloumi, roasted red pepper guacamole and Ballymaloe Relish.
For brunch and lunch, you can soothe your hangover with plates of pancakes and Belgian waffles.
Later, if you’re hitting the Spitjack for dinner, the Tomato and Burrata Tarte Tatin is always an excellent shout.
A sun dried tomato tapenade with tomato confit, caramelised onions and torn burrata in a crisp puff pastry base, it’s served with new potato salad and fresh leaves.
The Halloumi Burger and the French Onion Soup (topped with oozing Gruyère cheese) deserve a mention too.
