You might meet some fun new friends at this Intergeneration Bingo afternoon

It’s tricky to get to know your neighbours.
But if you’re new to the area or you just haven’t found the right moment to say hello, there’s a fun way to get it done happening on Cork’s Southside.
On Thursday, May 4th, 2023, the Southside Youth Forum will host an Intergeneration Bingo afternoon in Ballyphehane Community Centre on Tory Top Road.
“The event is being hosted by the young people with the hope to bring the community together for an afternoon full of fun, connections, and new friendships.” the organisers told us.
“There is no charge for entry and doors open at 1.30pm with tea and coffee provided with the first game beginning at 2.30pm.”
There is an open invitation for all those who live in the community and surrounding areas to pop in.
The Southside Youth Forum hopes the event will highlight the importance of fostering opportunities for young people to have a voice and occasions to showcase youth in a positive way within their communities while promoting intergenerational connectivity.
