A ‘hair-raising’ sell-out spectacle is coming to St Luke’s (for one night only)

It won’t be your average Saturday night out, that’s for sure.
Acclaimed Croatian circus performer Lidija Šola and playwright and fiction writer Sadhbh Moriarty are preparing to stage a multimedia experience ‘like no other’ at in St Luke’s on Saturday, May 6th.
Produced by Tricycle Trauma Collective, (Un)Holy Blood is described as a ‘mould-shattering show fusing contemporary trapeze, abstract film, and immersive soundscapes to explore and sanctify female plight and strength.’
Inspired by Alejandro Jodorowsky’s surrealist thriller Santa Sangre, the show takes place inside its own central cathedral, where Šola performs free falls from a height and tackles traumatic subjects like abortion and rape.
Tipped as “the most captivating sermon you’ll ever witness” this is not a mass you’ll want to miss.

“We are beyond excited to bring (Un)Holy Blood to St. Luke’s and showcase our unique vision of a feminist circus performance. Our hope is that audiences will be challenged and motivated by our subversive take on organised religion and the recurring oppressions women face,” said Šola and Moriarty.
Strictly for over 18s only, tickets are €22 and you can secure a seat in the congregation here.
