Picked up a pumpkin yet?
Now there’s a chance to find the perfect size and shape for a Jack-o-lantern while helping out a brilliant Cork charity; The Field of Dreams is has opened a Pumpkin Pop-Up Shop.
Located on The Clash Road, Curraheen, Field of Dreams is a horticulture-based training centre for adults with Down Syndrome. Over the past few months, the team has been hard at work looking after some of the best specimens to be had in the city.
In fact, grown on-site under the watchful eye of resident horticulturist Nicky Green and her team, all of the Field of Dreams pumpkins are completely chemical-free.
There’s a size and a shape for everyone and prices start at just €5 – all of which will go towards supporting the fantastic services of Down Syndrome Cork.
Check out Field of Dreams on Facebook for a delicious pumpkin risotto recipe, tried and tested by Ross, one of the Activation Dream Team (pictured above) so nothing goes to waste.
The Pumpkin Pop-Up Shop is located just inside the gate and open from Monday to Friday from 10am – 4.30pm, with additional opening hours on Saturday, October 24th and Bank Holiday Monday, October 26th.
