Is it your turn to plan date night?

If a monster burger and a cult movie sound like your idea of a good time, why not treat your other half to a socially-distanced night at the flicks?

Bad Boys BBQ is running a Drive-In Cinema at the Cork Showgrounds for five weeks, kicking off on Friday, September 11th.

A fully contactless experience in compliance with current Covid-19 regulations, tickets are bought online so there is no need for patrons to leave their car once they arrive at the venue.

The line-up for this weekend includes The Boss Baby, Dream Girls and The Joker on Friday (3pm, 6pm and 9pm), and Back to the Future, Finding Nemo and The Wolf of Wall Street on Saturday. There are loads of options for kids too during the day so check out their website for the full schedule.

Bad Boys BBQ will be dishing up hot food (BBQ) and beverages, as well as sweets and popcorn, slushies and ice-cream, all of which can be delivered to your car.

“We have a pre-order system in place which allows each car to order hot food and sweets online.” Martin from Bad Boys BBQ told Yay Cork.

“After they have ordered and paid online they are then directed to text or email their location when they arrive in the drive-in cinema. The area is clearly marked out and we then deliver straight to the car. The delivery staff are fully equipped with the necessary PPE and make no contact with the people in the vehicles.”

Book your tickets from €30 per car here. You could even make it a double date to keep the cost down.
