You can expect temperatures to be a LOT milder in Cork for most of this week

It was a frosty start to 2023.
But with a freezing fog weather warning behind us, Met Éireann says we can expect temperatures to become a great deal milder in Cork this week.
Forecasters predict it will be “mild and windy on Tuesday” with rain on and off during the day.
The rain will be heavy at times, however, top temperatures will stay between 11 to 13 Celsius. Pretty balmy for January.
Tuesday night will be windy with showery outbreaks of rain, mixed with clear spells, but it will become drier by morning ahead of another relatively mild day with lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees.
On Wednesday, we can expect sunny spells and scattered outbreaks of rain “remaining breezy and mild too with moderate to occasionally fresh westerly winds and highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees.”
A touch of frost is possible on Thursday night, but apart from that, it’s mostly mild weather for the rest of the week.
Forecasters predict cooler conditions from this weekend however, so enjoy it while you can.
