If you’re looking for an easy way to incorporate art into your busy daily grind in 2023, The Glucksman has come up with just the thing.

A six-week Lunchtime Drawing Course will run from January 26th to March 2nd, 2023 on Thursdays from 1pm-2pm.

The €60 course provides insight into different drawing materials, inviting participants to try their hand at charcoal, pastels, graphite, and chalk.

“The course will take inspiration from the current exhibition A Line Around An Idea: ways of knowing through contemporary drawing practices and will be set in our designated drawing studio in the large Sisk Gallery.

“Participants will learn about space, line, colour, light and shade, and texture as they develop their skills.” a spokesperson told us.

Interestingly, drawing and sketching has been shown to help reduce stress and anxiety, so carving out an hour to kick back and let your imagination run free midweek could actually have some very real benefits beyond learning a new skill.
