Yin, Yang and Yarn is a crochet social with a Yoga class to start

Searching for a way to ease a busy mind?
Imagine an afternoon where you don’t have to be anywhere else, achieve anything, or already know what you’re doing.
On Sunday, January 25th, local Yoga teacher Lauren Marples is organising just the thing: Yin, Yang & Yarn at Cork Lotus Yoga on Carey’s Lane, Cork City.
You arrive (2pm kick-off), unroll a mat, and let your body gently move through a yin/yang yoga practice — stretching, strengthening, slowing down, breathing out the week that’s just passed. A short meditation follows, creating a sense of calm that feels like a deep exhale you didn’t realise you needed.
Then, with shoulders relaxed and minds a little quieter, the afternoon flows into something equally comforting: crochet. You’ll be guided step by step through an easy, beginner-friendly pattern, with all materials provided — yarn, hook and a pattern to take home.
No pressure, no prior experience required. Just hands moving, stitches forming, and the quiet joy of making something tangible.
In true cosy-season spirit, there will be tea, vegan treats and easy conversation. You’ll leave feeling grounded, warmed from the inside out, and gently reset for the week ahead.
Tickets are €38.52 here.
