Yep. Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow snow and ice warning for Cork

We fall for it every year.
Just as the temperatures are starting to rise and the sun makes an appearance for longer than five minutes, we all become suckers for Fool’s Spring.
Now the joke is, once again, on us: Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow – Snow-Ice warning for Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, and Wicklow.
The national forecaster warns that showers may fall as sleet or snow with some accumulations possible, mainly on high ground, causing difficult travelling conditions and poor visibility from 9pm on Thursday to 9am on Friday.
Most of tomorrow will be cold and breezy with bright or sunny spells and scattered showers merging to longer spells of rain of at times. Some of the showers could be wintry at first but they’ll transition mostly to rain or hail through the morning.
“Isolated thunderstorms are also possible. Highest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees, but feeling chillier in mostly moderate to fresh and gusty westerly winds becoming west to northwest and easing later.” said a forecaster.
Showers will gradually become less frequent early on Friday night, with lowest temperatures of -1 to +3 degrees.
Saturday will start dry with some sunshine, but cloud will continue to thicken from the west through the morning as patchy rain and drizzle spreads across the country during the afternoon.
