Where to find a cake inspired by Cork’s Shakey Bridge to go with your coffee

It’s been closed for renovations for months now.
But Cork’s iconic Shakey Bridge is being celebrated in a truly unique way at the Good Day Deli in Nano Nagle Place this weekend.
You might not be able to stroll over the bridge, which recently underwent a €1.7m restoration, but the Douglas Street café and eatery have unveiled The Shakey Bridge cake – a slice of dessert heaven inspired by the famous Leeside structure – and that’s available right now.
This exquisite new special, carefully created by Urbn Cakes, boasts an almond crunch base with a thin coconut meringue layer topped with a red berry gel and coconut cream. Yum.
The whole thing is glazed with white chocolate and topped with creme chantilly and fresh, juicy strawberries.

“Pair with a @westcorkcoffee cortado and you’ll be the happiest camper in Cork City.” say the GDD team.
We completely agree.
