Weather: Chilly night ahead with temperatures ‘lower than the seasonal norm’

It’s finally feeling like autumn.
And Met Eireann says we can expect to feel a real September chill from tonight on, as temperatures plunge as low as 3C after dark.
Before nightfall there’s a fresh but bright day in store for Cork:
“Any mist or fog will clear to give a mostly dry start to Friday with bright spells of sunshine.” said a Met Éireann forecaster.
“However, scattered showers will continue to move down across the province.”
Highest temperatures will range between 15 to 17 degrees by day.

Mostly dry though scattered showers, some turning heavy, will move down across the country through the day. ☔️

There are more scattered showers in store for Cork tomorrow Saturday, but for the main, it will be a dry day with sunny spells and highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees.
Sunday is looking cloudy and breezy with spells of rain during Sunday evening or early Sunday night and more cool weather in store on Monday and Tuesday:
“Temperatures remaining a little lower than the seasonal norm with mixed or unsettled weather following later in the week.” Met Éireann added.
