‘We are making real progress.’ The number of hospital patients with Covid-19 has fallen again

‘We are making real progress.’
That was the message from Minister for Health Simon Harris this morning as he shared the news that the number of hospital patients with confirmed cases of Covid-19 has fallen again.
There are now 105 people battling the disease on Irish hospital wards.

Yesterday the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) was been notified that nine more people diagnosed with Covid-19 in Ireland have died – bringing the total deaths to 1,691. Nine additional cases were confirmed.
There have now been 25,215 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Ireland since the pandemic began, 1,529 cases of which were reported in Cork.
In a message to his Twitter followers, Minister Harris asked the public to continue to adhere to public health measures, adding: “…this number will keep falling & more lives will be saved.”
