Crook is calling.
And if you’re beginning to get excited about enjoying your first pint of summer 2020 from a perch by the pier outside O’Sullivan’s Bar, there’s not too long to wait.
Der, Linda and the O’Sullivan’s crew have been playing a blinder in Crook throughout the lockdown, delivering groceries to locals and dishing up an ‘at home’ menu, banana bread and hand sanitiser for collection at the bar for those who lived within a 5k radius.
Now, to the delight of Barleycove regulars (the Caravan Park opens in early July), they’ve announced that the iconic West Cork pub will reopen on June 29th, 2020, with a few changes in place in order to adhere to strict Government guidelines on Covid-19 safety.
“We are currently able to offer table service from 12 midday until 7pm, when we will close the kitchen and as a result, the bar must close.” O’Sullivan’s posted on Facebook.
“As social guidelines become clearer we will be able to update you. Stay safe, and we will see you soon. PS. for our Cork people who can travel, we will have take-away sandwiches in the shop and a new O’Sullivan @Home menu for pick up at 6pm.”
The Crookhaven Inn is also planning a comeback, with the doors set to open there on July 1st.
We’re already planning a trip West.
