The life of an artist isn’t easy.
Many spend months or even years pouring their heart and soul into their latest work, only to face a new hurdle at the selling stage.
Now a local art expert and gallery curator is hosting an intensive workshop where she will share her sales and marketing secrets with struggling artists, arming them with the know-how to make a career out of their talent.
Mentor Sheelah Moloney of 2020 Curates Creative Careers will present Selling Art in Ireland – The Workshop, a three-class tutorial that will run from May 24-26th, 2022 from 1pm-2pm online via Zoom.

2020 Curates began as an art gallery, 2020 Art Gallery, which was open for a decade and featured almost 50 exhibitions. In response to the market, Sheelah transitioned the business to a Creative Careers consultancy in 2019.
“This workshop gives artists a unique opportunity to learn how to get their art displayed for sale in art galleries, with specific attention paid to the Irish art market, which is an animal all of its own,” Sheelah told Yay Cork.
“Information on this topic is hard to find and most available is pitched at the US art market which is very different. With this workshop, I want to arm artists with the tools, strategies, and tips to grow their art business by securing coveted gallery representation as well as get the most out of the relationship with their gallery of choice,” she added.
