Walk the Long Table is BACK: Here are the dates for the foodie event of the summer

Cork’s famous Long Table Dinner is taking a break this year, but Walk the Long Table, the sell-out fringe event, is back for a whopping six days this June.
As plans are put in place for the next enormous al fresco dinner on the South Mall in 2020, ten of Cork’s top culinary institutes are joining forces to present ‘Walk the Long Table.’
Leading the Food Trails this year will be chef Trisha Lewis of Jacob’s on the Mall and Ali Honour of Ali’s Kitchen on Paul Street.
The ladies will be taking their groups on a whirlwind tour where you’ll meet the faces of Ali’s Kitchen, Crawford and Co, Dockland, Electric, Isaac’s, Jacobs on The Mall, Nash 19, The Farmgate Café, and The Imperial Hotel, learning about Cork’s world-class seasonal produce.
With a mammoth eight courses of mouth-watering midsummer plates and paired drinks to enjoy en route, this is a three-hour culinary experience that invites food lovers to meet the talented chefs and restaurateurs who collaborate on Cork’s famed Long Table Dinner – bringing the dinner to you in a different format.
Here’s what you need to know: Walk the Long Table will take place at twice daily, at 2.30pm and 3pm on Wednesday, June 12th, Thursday, June 13th, Friday, June 14th, Wednesday, June 19th, Thursday, June 20th, and Friday, June 21st 2019 as part of Cork Midsummer Festival.
Tickets (€85) include eight courses plus drinks along the trail. Booking opens on May 2nd so watch this space for the ticketing link.
