Visit this cute polaroid pop-up studio and sit for a vintage couples portrait

A photo can represent a thousand words.
And Cork Camera Exchange is setting up a cute pop-up this weekend, calling on Corkonian couples to come and take a vintage snap together.
Ireland’s First Analogue Camera Library, housed in Hollyhill Library, is bringing its polaroid collection into town and setting up a photo booth in the Grand Parade branch from 12pm-2pm on Saturday… and they want to document your fairytale love story.
“We wanted to share the love by capturing the people of Cork,” said the group on Instagram.
“We’re looking to tell some love stories, great and small. On hand we have the marvellous Marcin Lewandowski whose pop of passion for the project is sure to make it an event not to miss!
“We’re particularly looking for people aged 55+ to bring a partner, friend, or family member to tell the story of their relationship.”

The Cork Camera Exchange has an impressive camera collection, which was donated to Cork City Libraries by the late Hermann Marbe.
The photographer amassed a wide assortment of cameras in his lifetime, including pinhole cameras, super 8s, black and white film cameras, and many other 20th-century models. Their donation sparked a pilot programme to explore the viability of establishing The Hermann Marbe Camera Lending Library back in August 2022.
The Cork Camera Exchange will be in the Grand Parade Library on Saturday, February 11th between 12pm and 2pm so you can get your love portrait taken on one of their beautiful original polaroid cameras.
This is a free event. Make it a date!
