Use the next sunny spell for a swim and a brew at this new beach coffee spot
The forecast is pretty mixed for the coming week.
But if you’re looking for something to do on your day off, there’s a brand new reason to pack a bag with your togs and a towel and head for Rocky Bay Beach near Minane Bridge.
The Dream Bean is now open at the popular swimming spot so you can count on a lovely warm brew when you emerge from the sea after your next dip.
The Dream Bean is a business venture dreamed up by Kieran O’Donovan and his mum Noelette O’Donovan:
“I myself am a big coffee drinker,” Kieran told us.
“We found a lovely spot, Rocky Bay Beach, and felt we could really make it work down there. So over the last few months, we have worked on making our dreams a reality.

“We have received great support from the local community and beachgoers, which we are truly grateful for.
“We are proudly serving Soma Coffee which is Cork’s best and most loved local supplier, we have had great feedback from our customers, which is no surprise! We also offer a range of other hot drinks, cold drinks, toasties, cakes, and plenty of snacks and treats for kids,” added Kieran.
The Dream Bean is open Thursday to Sunday from 11am at Rocky Bay Beach.
