The bank holiday is over and there’s a long, boring week stretching out ahead of us… what better excuse to treat yourself to a sneaky dinner out?

Over on Lavitt’s Quay, one city pub and restaurant is making sure our glasses are always half full by handing out free pints of Beamish with every burger and fries ordered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Yep, you are reading that correctly.

Crack Jenny’s Tavern (where the old Larry Tompkins bar used to be) will present you with a free creamy Beamie with any burger on their menu, from the Cheezus Burger – mission spice buttermilk fried chicken, gochujang cheese sauce, cured streaky bacon and sesame lime slaw – to the vegan O Shroom (Panko portobello mushroom, XO shroom, vegan chilli crunch mayo and ginger-lime slaw).
